Reviving Bamboo Craft: From Decline to Sustainable Renewal

Bamboo crafts and sudare have been passed down in the Yame region, known for its high-quality bamboo. However, with the rise of synthetic products, these crafts have declined, contributing to the social issue of unmanaged bamboo forests. We believe that preserving and nurturing these crafts is key to protecting the local environment and fostering economic development. To this end, we develop products suited to contemporary lifestyles, promote the use of bamboo, and return value back to the satoyama landscape.
