1. Policy

The Native Textile Production Area Project Promotion Council (hereinafter referred to as the “Native Textile Council”) establishes this Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as the “Policy”) in order to ensure the proper collection, use, and protection of personal information and related information (hereinafter referred to as “User Information”) obtained from customers in connection with exhibitions, sales, planning, and other services (hereinafter referred to as the “Services”) conducted by the Native Textile Council, and to ensure appropriate security management.

2. Methods of Collection and Types of Information Collected

In providing the Services and in enabling customers to use the Native Textile Council’s website, the Native Textile Council may, after publicly announcing or notifying the purposes of use in advance, collect User Information either directly from customers or automatically through web-based methods.

Please note that if User Information is not provided, certain Services of the Native Textile Council may not be available.The types of information collected include:

  1. Information related to customer profiles, such as name, date of birth, gender, address, phone number, email address, occupation, and likeness (portrait)
  2. Information related to payment methods, such as credit card details, bank account information, and electronic money information
  3. Information entered or submitted by customers through input forms or other methods specified by the organization
  4. Information automatically recorded when using the Services, including usage history, website browsing history, device type, device identifiers, browser type, referrer, IP address, cookies, domain name, visitor ID, and other advertising identifiers

3. Purpose of Use of Information

The Native Textile Council uses User Information for the following purposes: providing information and updates related to its activities, concluding and performing contracts with customers, providing after-sales services, communicating with customers, and developing new services.

Personal information included in User Information will not be used beyond the scope necessary to achieve the stated purposes without prior consent from the customer, except as permitted by law.

  1. To provide the Services, perform after-sales services, and conclude and fulfill contracts with customers
  2. To send information, proposals, and updates regarding the Services
  3. To process applications, verify identity (including representatives), authenticate users, and manage user settings
  4. To outsource delivery and other necessary operations to third parties in connection with the Services
  5. To conduct surveys, interviews, behavioral analysis, market research, data analysis, service improvements, and the development of new products and services
  6. To analyze website usage and generate reports using Google Analytics, and to maintain and improve the usability and quality of the website
  7. To notify customers of important matters such as changes to terms and conditions, and to respond to inquiries and feedback

4. Security Measures

The Native Textile Council implements necessary and appropriate security measures to prevent leakage, loss, or damage of User Information and to ensure proper management.

The Council also enters into agreements with employees and contractors (including subcontractors) handling personal information, requiring proper management, and provides necessary supervision and guidance.

  1. Establishes privacy policies and complies with applicable laws and guidelines
  2. Appoints personnel responsible for handling personal information
  3. Conducts regular self-inspections of information handling practices
  4. Includes confidentiality obligations in employment rules and ensures compliance through supervision
  5. Implements systems to protect against unauthorized access and malicious software
  6. Takes immediate action to investigate and mitigate damage in the event of security incidents

5. Provision to Third Parties

The Native Textile Council will not provide personal information included in User Information to third parties without prior consent from customers or prior notification to the Personal Information Protection Commission, except in the following cases:

Additionally, when providing “person-related information” to third parties where it is expected to be treated as personal information, such provision will only occur if it is confirmed that the recipient has obtained prior consent from the customer.

  1. When required by law
  2. When necessary to protect life, body, or property and obtaining consent is difficult
  3. When particularly necessary for improving public health or promoting the sound development of children and obtaining consent is difficult
  4. When cooperation with governmental or local authorities is required for legal duties and obtaining consent may hinder such duties
  5. When outsourcing all or part of personal data processing to external contractors within the scope necessary for achieving the purpose of use
  6. When personal data is transferred due to business succession such as mergers

6. Requests for Disclosure, Correction, Suspension of Use, and Deletion

Upon request from customers for disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, suspension of use, erasure, or notification of purpose of use (hereinafter referred to as “Disclosure, etc.”), the Native Textile Council will verify the identity of the requester (including representatives), conduct necessary investigations without delay, and respond accordingly.

However, this does not apply where the Council is not obligated to respond under applicable laws.

The results of the investigation and whether the request can be fulfilled will be notified separately. Fees may be required for the procedures.

8. Revisions

The Native Textile Council may revise this Policy as necessary. However, if revisions require customer consent under applicable laws, the revised Policy will apply only to customers who have agreed to the revisions in accordance with procedures specified by the Council.

The effective date and content of the revised Policy will be announced on the website or by other appropriate means, or directly notified to customers.
