Terms of use

These Terms of Use (hereinafter referred to as the “Terms”) set forth the conditions governing the use of the website (hereinafter referred to as the “Website”) operated by the Native Textile Production Area Project Promotion Council (hereinafter referred to as the “Native Textile Council”), as well as the various services provided by the Native Textile Council (hereinafter referred to as the “Services”).

All persons who use the Website and/or the Services (hereinafter referred to as “Users”) shall be deemed to have agreed to these Terms.

 

Article 1 (Scope of Application)

1. These Terms shall apply to all relationships between the Native Textile Council and Users in connection with the use of the Website and the Services.

2. In addition to these Terms, the Native Textile Council may establish individual provisions or guidelines relating to the Services (hereinafter referred to as the “Individual Provisions”). Such Individual Provisions shall constitute an integral part of these Terms.

3. In the event of any inconsistency between these Terms and the Individual Provisions, the Individual Provisions shall prevail.

 

Article 2 (User Registration)

1. Certain parts of the Services may require user registration.

2. Users shall provide true and accurate information upon registration.

3. The Native Textile Council may refuse or revoke registration in the following cases:

・Where false information has been provided

・Where the User has previously violated these Terms

・Where the Native Textile Council otherwise deems the registration inappropriate

 

Article 3 (Prohibited Conduct)

Users shall not engage in any of the following acts in connection with the use of the Website and the Services:

1. Acts that violate laws or public order and morals

2. Criminal acts or acts related thereto

3. Acts that infringe the intellectual property rights, privacy rights, reputation, or other rights of the Native Textile Council or any third party

4. Acts that interfere with the operation of the Website

5. Unauthorized access or attempts thereof

6. Transmission of harmful programs such as computer viruses

7. Use of the Services for improper purposes

8. Any other acts deemed inappropriate by the Native Textile Council

 

Article 4 (Intellectual Property Rights)

1. Copyrights and other intellectual property rights in all content on the Website and the Services, including but not limited to text, images, designs, logos, videos, and programs, shall belong to the Native Textile Council or the respective legitimate rights holders.

2. Notwithstanding the preceding paragraph, content on the Website for which no separate terms of use are specified by the Native Textile Council may be used, reproduced, redistributed, and modified under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike (CC BY-SA) license.

3. When using content pursuant to the preceding paragraph, Users shall comply with the following conditions:

・Clearly indicate the Website name or appropriate credit as the source in a manner specified by the Native Textile Council

・Apply the same license (CC BY-SA) to any derivative works

・Comply with all other terms and conditions of the applicable Creative Commons license

4. Notwithstanding the preceding paragraphs, content whose rights belong to third parties or content with separately specified terms shall be governed by those respective terms.

5. Users shall not use any content beyond the scope permitted by law without obtaining permission from the Native Textile Council or the relevant rights holders.

 

Article 5 (Changes to the Services)

1. The Native Textile Council may change, add, or discontinue the content of the Services without prior notice to Users.

2. The Native Textile Council shall not be liable for any damages incurred by Users as a result of such changes.

 

Article 6 (Suspension or Interruption of the Services)

The Native Textile Council may suspend or interrupt all or part of the Services without prior notice to Users in any of the following cases:

1. When performing system maintenance or updates

2. When provision of the Services becomes difficult due to force majeure such as natural disasters, accidents, or power outages

3. When the Native Textile Council otherwise determines that it is difficult to provide the Services

 

Article 7 (Disclaimer)

1. The Native Textile Council does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, usefulness, or fitness for a particular purpose of the Website and the Services.

2. The Native Textile Council shall not be liable for any damages incurred by Users through the use of the Services, except in cases of willful misconduct or gross negligence.

3. Users shall make decisions based on the information provided on the Website at their own responsibility.

 

Article 8 (Links)

1. Linking to the Website is generally permitted; however, links from websites that violate public order and morals are prohibited.

2. The Native Textile Council shall not be responsible for any third-party websites linked from the Website.

 

Article 9 (Handling of Personal Information)

The Native Textile Council shall appropriately handle personal information obtained through the use of the Services in accordance with its separately established Privacy Policy.

 

Article 10 (Restriction of Use and Cancellation of Registration)

The Native Textile Council may, without prior notice, restrict a User’s use of the Services or cancel their registration if the User violates these Terms.

 

Article 11 (Amendment of the Terms)

1. The Native Textile Council may amend these Terms when deemed necessary.

2. The amended Terms shall take effect upon being posted on the Website.

 

Article 12 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)

1. These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Japan.

2. In the event of any dispute arising in connection with the Services, the court having jurisdiction over the location of the Native Textile Council shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

 

Supplementary Provision

These Terms shall come into effect on March 31, 2026.
